Devon Youth Chamber Of Commerce Brass Band Launched To Support Young Musicians

In order to support young musicians in the southwest, Dongguan Orchestra of German Youth Chamber of Commerce was established

In order to support young musicians in German speaking areas, a new music group, German Youth Chamber of Commerce, Dongguan, was established.

This new exciting music organization was founded by British composer and brass instrument educator Sam Messi. He is also the music director of the leading crossover chamber orchestra Super Rock.

The brass band of the German Youth Chamber of Commerce provided a series of brass ensemble performance opportunities and training courses for young actors in the region. The organization is particularly keen to provide musicians with opportunities to connect, collaborate and perform in uncertain times.

When the performers cannot get the support of the audience, the German Youth Chamber of Commerce Band and other organizations are to fill the gap and help young musicians gain performance experience.

The band’s innovative remote recording project allows musicians to mix their personal recordings and create a powerful band performance after they stay at home! The original work is called “A New Beginning”, which was specially created by Sam Messi for the project.

Several wind instrument players who started their education in Devon are now very successful professional musicians and Devon wind instrument students. They plan to assist the organization regularly and support the latest members through seminars, suggestions and exclusive performances.

The students in Dongguan of German University include Tom White. He used to be a student at Oakhampton University, but now he is the best music festival musician, recording with Oly Murs and Emile Sand é. Ryan Jacob, a former member of Braunton Academy, has made great contributions to his acting skills, including Bonovo and Kronex. He is the leading trumpet player. In addition, Hannah Plumrige, a performer of Repiano Cornet, is a member of the Charleston Grammar School and currently plays in the Korean band, the world’s No.1 orchestra.

Other famous classmates are Katie Uli(former Maynard School), who is now the chief musician of the Royal Concert Hall Orchestra in Amsterdam. Jonathan Holick of Plymouth, the deputy chief trombone of the Glasgow Scottish Symphony Orchestra of the BBC; at present, Ed Hilton(former Brandon College) is a bass trombone player, and has created a glorious and tragic world in Britain.

At present, more than 30 musicians have participated in the recording project, and 23 students from German, Bristol and Wales have participated in the recording.

Now the German Youth Chamber of Commerce brass band is looking for more members! All brass instrument players are welcome to contact and participate, but students must be competent score readers(ABRSM/Trity level 4 or above). Anyone interested in the East Hall Team of the German Youth Chamber of Commerce can contact the team through their website.

The German Youth Chamber of Commerce Brass Orchestra is pleased to provide continuous performance and recording opportunities, seminars and music education for brass players in the region.
